LEVEL II SUPPORT ENGINEER

Zanacore Technologies is a growing IT service company with its headquarters in Duluth, GA.  We serve small to midsize companies in the greater Atlanta area, providing IT services including network management, troubleshooting, security services, and VoIP telephony.   We provide paid vacation, holidays, medical and dental benefits for all employees.  Zanacore is a drug-free work place and requires a background check for all employees prior to hire.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This is an intermediate level position with opportunity for advancement as our company grows.  The primary focus of this position will be support for troubleshooting network equipment, servers, end user workstations and applications for our customers.  This is a remote role (work from home) using Zanacore provided computer equipment and VoIP phone.

Primary Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Provide remote IT support and troubleshooting for our customers to resolve problems to the end user's satisfaction. This work is primarily done via phone, chat, and remote connection via the Internet.
  • Provide on-site support and troubleshooting at customer sites, when requested. Candidates will be required to use a personal vehicle for travel but will be reimbursed mileage.
  • Configure, install, test and support customer workstations, servers, firewalls and other peripheral equipment, and software.
  • Ensure that all supported environments are fully documented, including procedures for client equipment configuration and management.
  • Participate in the implementation of new projects and technologies.
  • Process incoming telephone and email support requests from customers.
  • Track all support activities and time accurately with our support ticketing system.
  • Zanacore techs are responsible for fostering and maintaining a high degree of satisfaction with our clients.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex network problems is required.
  • Excellent customer service skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Office 365 Administration & Troubleshooting (Users & Group Management, Exchange Message Trace, SharePoint & OneDrive file syncing)
  • Experience supporting Local Area Networks with basic knowledge of routing, switches, DHCP, and DNS services.
  • Strong desktop PC support and diagnostic skills (Windows 10/11)
  • Attention to Detail - For bonus points include the word “Stupendous” when applying for the job.
  • Ability to organize and carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working with MSP tools is a plus. (Autotask, Datto RMM, IT Glue, etc.)

CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Driver’s License in Good Standing
  • At least one of the following:
    • Two or more years working for an MSP.
    • Microsoft Certification in any current MS Technology.
    • Five or more years working in a technical support role.
    • College Degree - Bachelor Level Preferred

ENVIRONMENT:

  • General work hours are between 8:00 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday – Friday, but may vary at times to accommodate customer needs.
  • Since this is a remote work role, candidate must provide a quiet work environment suitable for engaging in phone conversations and supporting clients without distraction. Must have reliable Internet access with appropriate bandwidth.
  • Must maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance.
  • Must maintain auto liability insurance on personal vehicle
